Naina Devi Temple is in Bilaspur

Naina Devi Temple is in Bilaspur and one of the famous religious places in Himachal Pradesh. This temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. It is believed from the centuries that the Shree Naina Devi Temple is the temple where the goddess Sati Devi’s eyes fell. Here Mata killed Mahishasura Rakshak. This temple is 20 KM from the Bhakra Dam. This temple is located on a top hill area.

Chamunda Devi Temple

Chamunda Devi Temple is also known as “Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham”. It is a very ancient temple which is situated along the Varner River. Lord Shiva is believed to be the place of Shakti. This temple was built in the 14th century. It is believed that people come from far away to visit the Goddess in this temple and the Chamunda Devi fulfills the wishes of all her devotees. This temple is situated at a height of 1000 meters above sea level. The distance of this temple from Dharamshala is about 15 KM.

Chamunda Devi Temple is dedicated to Kali Devi. Goddess Kali is considered the goddess of strength. The Devi name was Chamunda Devi due to the ashes of the Asuras.

Baijnath Shiva Temple

The Shiva temple of Himachal Pradesh is revered all over the world. This temple is the center of the faith of Shiva Bhagat. The history of this temple is very old. This temple is situated on the  Binwa River. It is believed that this temple was established in 726. The Baijnath temple is a unique example of architectural art.

This temple was constructed by two men named Mayuk and Ahuk in the 12th century. At the same time, the association of this temple is also associated with Lankapati Ravana and Pandya. It is said that the Shivalinga situated inside the temple is the fruit of Lord Shiva to Ravana. He was taking this Shivling to Lanka. But due to a condition not being fulfilled, Shivling was established in this Baijnath.
