The contemporary world is marred with hassles and bustles of searching for a living such that having an exhilarating leisure time is indispensable. One activity that always comes in handy to relieve me of stress and mental pressure is solo travel, coupled with love experiences with friends; with moments supplemented with booze drinking, personalized chocolates, and others.

My first destination while traveling alone was the Tulum beach located in Mexico. It is in the southern region of Cancun: a 90-minute drive from the urban center. My choice to travel to Mexico relied on the fact that the country has extensive natural resources that offer a perfect location for relaxing one’s mind and receiving the refreshment of nature. The Tulum beach is famous for its vast natural features, such as lush green vegetation, robust and canopy trees that supplement the appearance of the crimson yellow sand-filled beaches.

Two Sides of the Coin

There are two sides of solo travel: the thrilling and boring aspects. Traveling alone to a new place offers an opportunity to develop a sense of suspense and curiosity about what one is likely to encounter. Things get more interesting when the travel time fulfills the traveler’s expectations, as well as prove them wrong about certain beliefs. When I traveled to the Tulum beach, I expected to see children constructing small ancient castles with sand, people in swimming gowns-ready to make ocean dives from cliffs, the tip of sharks protruding from the ocean waters, and others.

These expectations materialized before my own eyes. What amazed me about this trip was the high number of lifesavers that were walking bouncily on the beach while gazing into the ocean for any possible life-saving alerts.

I appreciated the chance that one stranger gave me to answer any questions I had regarding the Mexican culture and contemporary lifestyles. Particularly, I wanted to understand what makes these people get so much absorbed into their culture. Another point of concern was why the country is renowned for illegal drug manufacture and trafficking, and what the government of the day was doing about it.

For Good, For Better

One of the most fascinating things about solo travel is that you get to meet new people and a friendship union develops. This offers an opportunity to learn about the different socialization and cultures of the world. For instance, during my solo travel to Mexico, I grasped some aspects of the preferences of the locals, for instance, their staple food, which is Tesco Quinoa. The food is so popular in this region such that its price is $7 dollars less compared to the retail price in America. Mexico’s culture roots itself deep into the souls of its citizens because almost all the people speak the same language, thus they enjoy a deeper inter-societal relationship. Regarding the illegal drug trade, my friends explained that the country is highly corrupt, starting from law enforcers to the drug cartels. This makes it difficult to curtail the manufacture and transportation of heroin and cocaine in and out of Mexico.

Love with Booze

During the beach visit, I got to meet a joyful couple with their fun-filled male friend. They were having an evening shore walk while I had just chucked from my hotel room to catch some cold breeze and a bar of chocolates. To my amazement, the three friends I met had carried a bottle of Stella Rosa Black to mark the second anniversary of the couple. This is a classy whiskey that was developed for 18 years and includes a unique combination of Spanish, American, and exceptional oaks that are weathered using bourbon and sherry. The drink was “bitter-sweet” and the sensation it created in my inner being reminded me of the deep taste of the celebrated Dimple Pinch that has been my constant companion since the days of college.

I thought this was a unique coincidence since my brain had just sent a message that it needed to have a glimpse of a high-quality wine or liquor just like pre workout c4. As we were having our drinking spree alongside the seashore with tides roaring as they rise wildly in the near horizon, the single man initiated the process of introduction. This made a tingle run through my spine since it offered an opportunity to satisfy my curiosity and forsake all cautions at the sight of strangers. They were locals.
